Class Resources — Week 2

The second week's class was primarily a review of the rules of chess.

However, we did also go over basic "algebraic" chess notation. A copy of the class handout (by David Child, found on the internet) is here.

Moreover, Wikipedia has a pretty good article on chess notation. (But tell no one I referred you to Wikipedia!) And it even tells you the names of all the pieces in about a gazillion different languages!
