The first week's class focused on the basic rules of the game of Chess. A one-page
handout (compiled by the U.S. Chess Federation) was distributed in class as reference material.

The internet is replete with hundreds and hundreds of videos on chess. Here are links
to three of the better 'rules of chess' YouTube videos I have seen.
